You might think it has to do with some tribe, or brand name. Or perhaps with some foreign mission in a faraway land. In truth, it does have to do with "tribe"...insofar as it has to do with to whom we belong. And it does have to do with mission, insofar as it connects us with the one who sends us out.
The Hudu Project is an effort to answer the question Jesus asks Peter: "Who do you say that I am?"
I looked long and wide for an easy to read book that introduces Jesus to a non-believer. I'm convinced that a person must know Jesus before they'll ever pick up a book that gives us a theological perspective. There's Scripture, for certain, but to someone who has never known Him and doesn't know the ins and outs of how to read the Bible (and let's face it, that's a good percentage of believers too), how do we introduce Jesus to them?
Out of my frustration is born the Hudu Project. I'll be asking Christians the very question Jesus posed to Peter: "Who do you say Jesus is?" "What has He done for you? How is your life different? Why believe at all?" My hope is that at the "end" of this (if ever there is an end), that we will have a rich collection of stories that can shed light on THE Light, that can share the power, the beauty, the glory of God in His Son, Jesus Christ. Join me in this quest, won't you?
